Morocco has a unique atmosphere, it has been recognized for the variety of its magnificent landscapes and for the hospitality of its inhabitants. On this weekend adventure you will discover the authentic Moroccan culture with its amazing colors and cuisine and admire the sunset on the dunes, stroll on the back of a dromedary. Visit the majestic Atlas mountains and the Ourika Valley Waterfalls. You will also experience how the moroccan tea is prepared at a Berber’s Family House. All while you keep exploring and tasting the small details that this destination will offer you. Embark on a dream trip through Marrakech!

Itinerary

– Private airport transfer from RAK airport to accommodation. There will be someone with a “Remote Year” sign waiting at the airport for the guests.
– We will have a welcome dinner in the Jemaa El Fna where you can watch the square come alive at night, with musicians, artists, and crowds of locals.

– Start the day with a storytelling experience in a museum to travel in time while drinking some Moroccan whiskey = mint tea. For about one hour.
– Afterwards a guided tour to discover some of the hidden gems of Marrakech with a local guide. For about 3 hours.
– Lunch at a rooftop in the Medina = old city (not included)
– Dinner in Agafay desert: quad + camel ride (optional)

Day 3: Friday

– Day trip to the Atlas Mountains
– Visit beautiful and amazing places including the Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Asni Valley, and Sidi Fares Valley
– Experience the local Berber culture
– Enjoy tea with a Berber family
– Enjoy a delicious lunch in a local’s family house

– Free time or optional upgrade activity Hot Air Balloon trip (Optional)
– Breakfast
– Free time or optional upgrade activity Hammam (Optional)
– Private airport transfer to RAK airport for recommended flight

Optional Upgrade Activities:

ATV experience + Camel Ride + Dinner in the desert

Embark on a magical evening adventure in the Agafay Desert, just a short drive from Marrakech. Enjoy a quad bike ride and explore the stunning desert landscape at sunset. Then, indulge in a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, featuring delicious local dishes and authentic mint tea. This experience is the perfect way to experience the beauty and culture of Morocco.

Hot Air Balloon Trip

Before breakfast guests will take part in a unique experience in the heights of Marrakesh. Beautiful sunrise experience, with a 40-60 min journey in a hot air balloon with views over the desert and Atlas Mountains. Round trip transport also included. The trip can be included at an additional cost- To be announced.

Hammam Bath

After breakfast guests will take part in a traditional Moroccan experience. This includes a full body clay mask in the steam room, followed by an exfoliating scrub down. It’s wonderful to soften the skin and detox the body. A full body relaxation massage with Moroccan oil can be added to complete the incredible experience. The massage can be included at an additional cost- To be announced.

Know Before You Go

– Booking Deadline: Thursday 8th 
– Weather Dependent: Yes – If there weather is extreme at any moment, some events might need to be rescheduled or cancelled.

– Special Clothing Required: Yes, comfortable clothing for the camel ride and hike to waterfalls. 
– Special Dietary Restrictions: All dietary restrictions will be gathered.

After 24 hours & before the booking deadline

A cancellation fee may be applied depending on the circumstances, if the experience can go ahead. If this is the case, the total refund minus the cancellation fee will be issued in Marketplace Credit or deducted from your next month’s invoice. The fee and preferred refund option will be communicated via email with [email protected]

After the booking deadline

By this point we will have definitely made promises and financial commitments on your behalf and so cancellation fees may be up to 100%. What happens if my booking is changed/cancelled due to weather?

Let’s be real – no one can control the weather, and sometimes things just don’t go as planned. But don’t worry, your City Manager is here to help and will do their best to come up with a solution if an event is affected. We understand that everyone’s schedule is different, so while we can’t guarantee a make-up option will work for everyone, we promise to try our hardest. If you’re unable to attend the make-up date, no problem – we’ll give you a full refund for your booking.

I have a discount or gift code, can I use it to complete my purchase?

Yes, once you add your item to your cart and check out, you will be able to input the code before completing the purchase. If you need help finding your code, please double check your inbox. You received an email from Marketplace with the code.

Can I book for a friend / family member?

Sure! We welcome your friends and family coming to visit you while you travel the world. We do, however, reserve the right to deny access to Friends / Family who are over using RY Services. 

I haven’t received a booking confirmation email, can you help?

Please reach out to us at [email protected] and we’ll help. In some cases, you may have multiple emails associated on the Marketplace and this is causing some confusion. Reach out and we’ll do our best to sort it out! 

If I cannot attend, can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes, you may transfer your booking to another Nation Member or Family/Friend. Please notify the City Manager as soon as possible to confirm the change. Please note, in the case of special dietary requirements, we might not be able to accommodate special requests on last minute changes. Any bookings that require advanced ticketing linked to an individual’s ID might not be approved. 

Will I be able to work on this experience? 

If you have to check in with work at any point during the scheduled time, we recommend confirming with the City Manager before booking.

I’m a Nation Member but not on an active program, can I still book? 

We will always prioritize Remotes who are traveling with an active program on experiences. You may be able to book but there is a chance the City Manager will reach out to let you know we have to release your spot for an active Remote. If you’re in a city but not traveling with a program, we recommend reaching out to the City Manager on the Hub to confirm before booking.
