  • Safety is incredibly important to us and we will be taking multiple steps to enhance our standards, including:

    • Ensuring that we are operating within guidelines of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to COVID-19
    • Thorough, deep-cleaning of every apartment and heavily touched areas (doorknobs, counters, etc) by professional cleaning staff prior to every move-in date
    • Sanitization cleaning products and hygiene kits in every apartment and communal workspaces
    • Established community guidelines for all participants including:
      • Wearing of masks in public areas
      • Frequent washing of hands
      • Prohibition of strangers in private apartments without the consent of your roommates
      • Immediate notification and testing if you are exhibiting symptoms
      • Co-creation of additional self-guiding community rules by participants in order to promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment
    • Partnership with International SOS to have up-to-date health and safety information and assistance with medical needs
    • Recommended list of hospitals and local clinics for COVID testing or medical care

  • We will always prioritize the safety of our customers and will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation. If it is impossible or unsafe for us to deliver Remote Village for our customers, we will postpone or cancel Remote Village. In the event of a postponement or cancellation due to COVID-19, RY will fully refund all fees paid toward the program.

  • We have specifically chosen these locations because our 5 years of creating intentional communities around the world helped us identify locations that have the ability to offer an incredible experience for our participants. We are piloting this concept in the United States where a large portion of our Remote Year community is currently based.

    While these are the two locations we have included in our pilot, we will be rapidly introducing more locations to explore with us in the US and internationally in the next 3-6 months.

  • No, Remote Year does not offer job placement or employment to participants. Remote Year can provide resources for your job search, but you must be able to bring your own job or have the means to cover your program fees while pursuing your passion project

  • Significant Other: Yes, if you are sharing a bedroom with your significant other for the month, you will both need to pay a down payment ($850 each) and you will receive 20% off your monthly fee ($1,600 each per month instead of $2,000 each per month). After you pay your down payment, just send us a message here and we’ll send you discounted invoices for your monthly fees.‍

    Pets: We are working really hard to actually be able to support pets at Village! We are going to do our best to do this within our current housing, but if we can’t, we will look for a different housing situation for you. If we can’t support pets in any of our housing, we will work on an alternative plan together and try our best to get creative.

  • Most apartments will be 2-3 bedrooms, each participant having their own bedroom. However, we are working to have 1-bedroom upgrades available to participants at an additional cost. This would be purchasable closer to the start of your program.

  • Due to the number of applications and inquiries, our response time may be slower, but we are doing our best to answer as quickly as possible through this form.

  • Yes, absolutely. If you join Remote Village for 1 more month (2 months total), you’ll get a $250 discount off each month for a total savings of $500. It doesn’t have to be in the same city. Just send us a message here if you are interested or have any other questions.
