DESCRIPTION
What better way to arrive at the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu than by adventure? Join us for an action packed 2-day journey that will be a highlight of your trip to Peru.

We start day 1 biking through lush jungle and Andes peaks. Then, we’ll take to the Urubamba River, rafting through rapids as we take in the scenic shoreline. The day closes out at Colcamayo natural hot springs where you can relax in the warm waters and enjoy the 360 degree views of the area.

The next morning we’re up bright and early to begin the final trek to Machu Picchu. We’ll walk for about 2.5 hours on flat land beside the train tracks. This road takes us all the way to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to your final destination. After a short break and bus up the mountain, we arrive to the lost city of the Incas for a guided tour of the magical Machu Picchu.

We will begin our Andean Adventure trip early in the morning (4:30 am pick up from your hotel) as a fun and active day awaits for us, heading northwest of Cusco, we will pass by the towns of Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo, the last two located in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas. Our adventure begins at Abra Málaga at 4,316 m / 14,160 ft high pass, with its impressive view of the snowcapped Veronica. Here you will receive a brief description of our biking adventure, equipment, bicycles and safety instructions. Once we are ready, we will start our descent towards the town of Santa María located at 1300 m /4265 ft, along our outstanding route of approx. 3 hours, we will be able to whiteness amazing landscapes, glaciers, orchid gardens, fruit tree plantations, coca, coffee, cocoa, tea, all typical of the jungle we approach, in addition to enjoying our lunch.
Afternoon
After we recover from such an unique experience, we will be ready to start the next one, river rafting full of adrenaline for approx. 1 hour and a half. Finally, after this, we will take the van and drive for approx. 1 hour to the town of Santa Teresa where we will check-in to the Eco Lodge.

Evening
After enjoying a delicious dinner, we will head out to the famous hotsprings of the town where we will have some time to chill and relax. (This is one of the highlights of the day!)DAY 2 Morning
The next morning we will start the day at 5:30 am. After breakfast, our professional guide will guide to the town of Aguas Calientes. To get there, we will hike for 2.5 hours, to then take the bus and start your guided tour through the ancient Incan citadel of Machu Picchu! You will have the chance to learn and visit some of the main temples, stairways, squares, roads, among other amazing spaces of this architectural complex, such as the Intiwatana. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore this extraordinary World Heritage Site on your own. Our guide will indicate where and at what time we can meet again for the return.
