Itinerary
The itinerary is subject to change at the guide’s discretion due to the pace of the group, weather, or transit issues as well as other unforeseen issues.

Day 1:

Around 6:30 am: The tour guide will meet you at your hotel then we departure to Ha Giang.

Around 12 pm: Lunch will be served after this session. A trip briefing will be provided by our guide after lunch to head off to the homestay. Your journey is through beautiful valleys and villages. During the ride, we will have plenty of stops for photos and to rest. Sunset would be on top of Lung Khuy Cave before we check in at homestay.

Around 7 pm: After dinner at the homestay, spend a quiet mountain night in the heart of Nam Dam Village.

Day 2:
After breakfast at homestay, you’ll go to Lung Tam villages. It’s a Hemp Linen making village where we will watch how it’s made from A-Z and try your hand a rolling out the cloth.
We’ll stop in Yen Minh for lunch and then ride to the border between Vietnam and China. A stop by the Hmong Opium King’s house will give you some ideas of the richest man in the area. We continue to check out the Extreme North Point hopefully on a nice clear day we can see some Chinese towns on the other side.
Dinner will again include lots of happy water if you are of drinking age and wish to partake.

Day 3:
Setting off after breakfast, we’ll enjoy the quietest part of the region.

Heading toward the most beautiful pass in Vietnam. Ma Pi Leng. This is where you can take amazing photos over our 7km hike. Then back on a cruise via Tu San Abyss Alley. Lunch will be at Meo Vac before we continue to Du Gia where we are staying the night.

We’ll stop in Mau Due for a coffee. This is the start of something we called the “road of children.” You’ll see many of the minority children playing by the side of the road while their parents are working alongside the rocks.

We’ll stay the night in a tiny village called Du Gia, and (weather depending) have a swim in a hidden waterfall.

Day 4:

Take your time in the morning in Du Gia, chilling out by the mountainside, having a swim at the waterfall nearby, or capturing some villagers’ photos.

After our farewell lunch, we’ll drive back to Ha Giang and arrive back in Ha Giang by 4 pm for dropping you off. The van will drop you off at around 10.30 pm in Hanoi. During your ride back to Hanoi, dinner will be served at around 19.00 at a stop.

Know Before You Go
– Weather can be unpredictable depending on season. Make sure to check weather forecasts and updates from your City Manager. In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, the City Manager will notify you of alternative options.
– Bring shoes with a good grip. There are high mountains, ravines, and terraced fields all around Ha Giang. Some parts of the trek will be a narrow path up and downhill around the mountain, it’s unavoidable, but not too dangerous.
– The trek is private but you will meet other travelers at the homestay. Homestays are run by families who choose to welcome travelers and have prepared their houses to accommodate guests. At the homestay, the guests share one big loft/room on the second floor in a beautiful traditional house. The host and their family stay in a separate part of the house, but you eat dinner together. There are no private bedrooms in the homestays. There are hot showers, western standard toilets, beds, and tasty traditional food. You don’t need to bring bed sheets, towels or sleeping bags. The homestays are clean and safe.
