Each month on a RY program, you can opt into Core Experiences. Included are one weekday and one weekend. Additionally, you can purchase extra seats if you want to experience all the city has to offer or you can buy for your family / friends to experience the city with you.

COFFEE FARM TOUR

You wonder why Colombia is so famous for its coffee, you love the smell and the taste of it, want to spend an amazing half-day at an authentic coffee farm immersed in our beautiful mountains. Learn and experiment the process from the bean to the cup while having the opportunity to taste and enjoy a traditional lunch at a farmers table with all ingredients harvested in their land. This experience is good for anyone who enjoys a good quality cup of coffee, connecting with nature and learning more about Colombian coffee tradition.

AREPAS & FRIENDS

Our favorite food – Arepas! These corn cakes are to Colombia and Venezuela like tortillas to Mexico. Learn to cook them from scratch and know all the recipes to their delicious fillings, while spending time meeting new local friends.

This experience is good for anyone who likes trying new foods in small group gatherings.

MEDELLIN CORNER TO CORNER

Are you ready to tour around the entire city of Medellin and stop at the most emblematic spots of the city? Join us for a walking tour that covers a big part of the Aburra Valley using the public transportation like the Metro, cable cars, and public bikes. We will visit Arvi Park, Botero Plaza, Carabobo walking street, the Alpujarra Medellin City Hall and Commune 13. Tour starts 9am at Selina, and ends around 7pm at Selina. This experience is good for anyone who is willing to explore the city by walking and taking all different means of public transport.

GUATAPÉ: DO IT IN A VAN

Take a unique adventure to Guatapé with one of our favorite tour guides in Medellin, Rafa. You’ll spend the day exploring the beautiful town of Guatapé (one of the Colombian’s most photographed sites) due to its colorful streets and famous zocalos. and if you’re up to it, hiking up the iconic giant granite rock “Piedra del Peñol” (742 steps) to take in a breathtaking view. Rafa will have a couple surprises for you as well, one of which will be showing you his cozy home located in Santa Elena for breakfast and beautiful views.

This experience is good for anyone who likes to explore, go on an adventure, jump off a bridge or climb many steps.
