WEATHER DEPENDENT
No, this adventure is not considered weather dependent. Although please note, the weather conditions can be related to desert climate, which basically means warm/hot temperatures during the day, and cold nights. Our primary focus is always on providing a memorable experience while ensuring the safety of our participants. In case of inclement weather, we reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary as needed.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Medium / Difficult – Although this adventure was designed to not be physically challenging, the altitude in this region of the world is no joke. Unfortunately, no one can foresee how each person will react to the altitude. If you’ve been exposed to altitude sickness previously does not mean you will not get sick again. Each ascension is different and usually depends heavily on how you are preparing yourself for the days prior. We strongly suggest you keep yourself hydrated, eat healthy and avoid alcohol pre and during the trip. Alternatively, you can prepare yourself by getting altitude sickness pills and getting a proper amount of sleep. Our staff on the ground is prepared to support you if necessary, however we strongly recommend doing research and being proactive for your personal comfort.
Special Altitude Information
You will have to plan accordingly — No drinking alcohol 24 hours before the trip. Hydrate extra and take altitude pills. Get at least 8 hours of sleep (at minimum) the night before we depart for Uyuni.

A suggested starting point would be to budget an additional amount for Lunches and Dinners that are not included. On average, the cost of a mid-range restaurant meal for one person without drinks or tip is approximately $8 to $15. Higher-end restaurants can cost $20 to $30. Other expenses might include, tipping and personal expenditures (health insurance, medical expenditures, purchase of gifts, etc.) However, you should adjust this amount based on your personal preferences and comfort level. It’s always better to have extra cash on hand and be prepared for unforeseen expenses.
