This 4 day Zanzibar tour gives you a taste into some relaxing attractions and activities that this African island has to offer. We start in Stone Town, one of Zanzibar’s oldest regions and we delve deep into its history with visits to Prison Island, The Forodhani Gardens. , which gives insight into the old spice and slave trades which once combined to make Stone Town one of the richest cities in Africa. From Stone Town, it’s time for a quintessential Zanzibar island experience – as we spend 2 nights in Kendwa famed for lively nightlife the accommodation offers a beach party every Saturday night with music, fun, and entertainment. However, we won’t leave Zanzibar without a Dhow Sunset Cruise experience which is included with snorkeling experience. Relax on this journey as the sun dips below the horizon a perfect finish to a much-needed escape.

Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrival at destination; Stone Town, Zanzibar at 11:00AM. Pick up for brunch at the famous Luukman Restaurant in town all inclusive of the tours to follow. After Brunch head to Stone Town / Prison Island, we’ll head out for our historical Stone Town, Spice, and Prison Island tour. After the Prison Island tour, head to The Forodhani Gardens located along the main seawalk of Stone Town where tourists and locals alike gather in a popular food street market in the main square, to enjoy Swahili and Zanzibari cuisine delicacies. Meals at Forodhani are not inclusive. At 7 PM Depart to Kendwa. The drive from Stone Town to the Kendwa accommodation is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once arrived, we’ll check in and refresh for those who’d like to join for dinner and drinks.
Day 2:
Wake up for a complimentary breakfast just before our excursion to Baraka Aquarium.
Leave for Baraka Aquarium at 10:30 AM. This is a natural lagoon of sea turtles you can swim with and learn about, this activity is led by an instructor. Next you will spend afternoon in your hotel enjoy the beach views and in the evening you can opt to attend kendwa beach party.buffet dinner (not inclusive – $35/pp) and lastly to end the day an inclusive beach party starting at 9:30 PM.
Day 3:
Wake up for a complimentary breakfast and ready
On this day you will be picked from your hotel at 9:30 for the full day trip to mnemba island. You will spend the afternoon at Mnemba Island. The most popular snorkeling spot in Zanzibar is where various aquatic species, including dolphins, can be spotted. lunch and soft drinks are inclusive and all snorkeling gears. On your way back to your hotel you will experience sunset with a free complimentary drink of local beer or glass of wine.
Day 4:
7 AM Complimentary breakfast & prepare for 11 AM departure to the airport.

What is the refund policy? All cancellations, by customer or Remote Year will be given in Marketplace credit within 3 days of the cancellationWhen a customer cancels, credit value will be subject to any associated cancellation fees.Credit can be used toward anything on the Marketplace or toward future program fees. What happens if my booking is changed/cancelled due to weather?
Let’s be real – no one can control the weather, and sometimes things just don’t go as planned. But don’t worry, your City Manager is here to help and will do their best to come up with a solution if an event is affected. We understand that everyone’s schedule is different, so while we can’t guarantee a make-up option will work for everyone, we promise to try our hardest. If you’re unable to attend the make-up date, no problem – we’ll give you a full refund for your booking.
I have a discount or gift code, can I use it to complete my purchase?
Yes, once you add your item to your cart and check out, you will be able to input the code before completing the purchase. If you need help finding your code, please double check your inbox. You received an email from Marketplace with the code.
Can I book for a friend / family member?
Sure! We welcome your friends and family coming to visit you while you travel the world. We do, however, reserve the right to deny access to Friends / Family who are over using RY Services.
I haven’t received a booking confirmation email, can you help?
Please reach out to us at [email protected] and we’ll help. In some cases, you may have multiple emails associated on the Marketplace and this is causing some confusion. Reach out and we’ll do our best to sort it out!
If I cannot attend, can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, you may transfer your booking to another Nation Member or Family/Friend. Please notify the City Manager as soon as possible to confirm the change. Please note, in the case of special dietary requirements, we might not be able to accommodate special requests on last minute changes. Any bookings that require advanced ticketing linked to an individual’s ID might not be approved.
Will I be able to work on this experience?
If you have to check in with work at any point during the scheduled time, we recommend confirming with the City Manager before booking.
I’m a Nation Member but not on an active program, can I still book?
We will always prioritize Remotes who are traveling with an active program on experiences. You may be able to book but there is a chance the City Manager will reach out to let you know we have to release your spot for an active Remote. If you’re in a city but not traveling with a program, we recommend reaching out to the City Manager on the Hub to confirm before booking.
