I met one of my best friends ever, and also met my girlfriend (who is wonderful) from going on Remote Year. I learned a ton of new skills, and actually got a bunch of work done. Before Remote Year, I was a digital nomad, but I lacked structure.

The activities planned by RY struck a good balance between work and play, with many opportunities to explore the local culture and connect with other participants. I particularly enjoyed the group dinners and cultural excursions and appreciated the staff on the ground.
