Description
Meet us on the incredibly beautiful island of Santorini where we’ll spend the weekend exploring all of its magic. You’ll be staying on the black sand beaches of Kamari located on the eastern side of the island. We’ll organize an optional dinner on the first evening and officially start the weekend with a welcome drink at a local cocktail bar after dinner. On Friday, you’ll have some time for yourself in the morning before an island road trip to Fira, the Island’s capital, a stop at a local winery and we’ll close the evening with a stop in Oia for one of the most beautiful sunsets you’ll ever witness (weather permitting) and top the night off with a Greek family style dinner! On Saturday, we’ll take to the seas and board a private catamaran to enjoy the island’s beauty from a different angle. The final day of the trip is free to explore on your own or simply relaxing on the black sand beaches before your flight departs back to Athens.
Who This Trip Is Good For
This Side Trip is good for anyone who wants to experience the island on a curated itinerary that optimizes your time to see all the best spots of the island without having to worry about the planning. Everyone from adventurer’s to romantics will find their slice of heaven on this little island.
Difficulty Level
Easy / Medium – This trip requires some easy walking in the town of Oia and Fira. You’ll also be on a boat for part of this experience. In general, this is not a challenging physical experience.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Santorini Arrival Day
You’ll arrive in Santorini Airport where the guide will meet you for a 6:30 PM Airport Transfer as long as you arrive with the recommended flight. Once you are settled into your room, we will assist with dinner reservations at a Beachside Restaurant which is optional for anyone who wants to join. To kick start the weekend, we’ll have a welcome drink at a nearby cocktail bar after dinner!
Day 2 – Island Tour Day
You’ll enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel and have the morning free to hang out by the pool, on the black sand beaches of Kamari or explore by foot and do some shopping! In the afternoon we’ll take a private island tour in a coach van to visit Fira, Santorini winery and Oia sunset followed by a Greek family style dinner. We plan to be back to the accommodation around 11PM.
Day 3 – Catamaran Cruise Day
You’ll enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel before we are transferred to the port for an afternoon on the water! We’ll board a catamaran and spend a few hours enjoying the natural beauty of the island, listening to music and having a light lunch with beer, wine and soft drinks. We plan to be back to Kamari Beach around 3PM. The evening will be free for you to explore or relax.
Day 4 – Free Day & Departure
You’ll enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel. You’ll be able to store your things at the hotel after a morning check out. You’ll have the day to explore on your own before we organize the group transfer to the airport at 5PM. Suggested departing flight is 8:10PM back to Athens.

For questions concerning refunds, please email [email protected]. Please note most bookings made within 24 hours are fully refundable. Bookings made outside the 24 hour policy are not eligible for a refund. Please keep in mind, we will automatically refund bookings that are disrupted by extreme weather conditions, last minute cancellations from our suppliers or the minimum number is not met by the booking deadline.
What happens if my booking is changed/cancelled due to weather?
We’ll control the weather. Just kidding! Remote Year can’t control the weather or many other factors that go into planning events. In the event of a change due to weather, the City Manager will do their best to provide a make-up option. Due to last minute changes and busy monthly schedules, we cannot guarantee it works for everyone but we’ll do our best! If you are not able to attend the make-up date(s), we will fully refund your booking.
I have a discount or gift code, can I use it to complete my purchase?
Yes, once you add your item to your cart and check out, you will be able to input the code before completing the purchase. If you need help finding your code, please double check your inbox. You received an email from Marketplace with the code.
Can I book for a friend / family member?
Yes! We welcome your friends and family coming to visit you while you travel the world. Please refer to our Friends and Family policy: Friends & Family (visitors of active Remotes and active Citizens) may be granted access to private Remote Year events, Local Experiences, Side Trips, Community Events, Local Amenity and Services at an extra cost determined by the Marketplace or City Team. Remote Year reserves the right to deny access to Friends / Family who are over using Remote Year services. To avoid abuse of services, non-active Citizens, op-out Remotes, or Remotes who have left a Program can not use services as Friends & Family of Active Remotes or Active Citizens.
I haven’t received a booking confirmation email, can you help? If I cannot attend, can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, you may transfer your ticket to another Remote, Citizen or Family/Friend. Please notify the City Manager as soon as possible to confirm the change. Please note, in the case of special dietary requirements, we might not be able to accommodate special requests on last minute changes. Any bookings that require advanced ticketing linked to an individual’s ID might not be approved.
I’m not currently an active Remote Year participant, can I still book?
As a non-active Remote or Citizen, you forego access to any private Remote Year events including Core Experiences, Local Experiences, Community Events, Local Amenity and Services through the Marketplace. Exemptions will be made on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the City Manager.
