DESCRIPTION
On the Tour to Machu Picchu by Train you have the privileged experience of transporting yourself to the most important attraction of Cusco and one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World in a full day of excitement and adventures.

This tour offers spectacular views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Vilcanota River, until reaching the highest prize: the Sacred City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, where you can enjoy its mystique, archaeological sites and wonderful essence: Afterwards you will have the opportunity to spend an unforgettable afternoon in the last Living Inca Town, Ollantaytambo.

On the second day of this excursion you will start your Sacred valley tour by exploring the ancient fortress of Ollantaytambo; then you will head out to the archeological site of Moray and enjoy a super cool picnic while appreciating the majestic panoramic views of this sacred area,

Last but not least, you will visit the salt mines of Maras and finish your excursion by entering the Chinchero market.

Being one of the destinations with the highest demand in South America, the coordination of schedules, choice of train service, selection of places to visit, purchase of tickets in advance and planning are a guarantee of success and enjoyment of this adventure.

The private experience will allow you to adapt the schedule to avoid large groups of tourists and enjoy the tour with your private group.

At around 04:00 our guide will pick you up at your accommodation to start your trip. You will be traveling for about 1.5 hours to the train station in Ollantaytambo from where you will be taking a train ride to Aguas Calientes (average of 1.5 hours). Upon arrival, our professional guide will lead you to the tourist bus for the transfer to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
On the guided tour you visit the most important places, including the main temples, stairways, squares, roads, among other amazing spaces of this architectural complex, such as the Intiwatana.
After the guided tour, you have free time to explore this extraordinary World Heritage Site on your own. Our guide will indicate where and at what time they will meet again for the return.
Afternoon
In the tourist bus you return to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch and continue the adventure in this town, which can only be accessed by train or walking.
Evening
After that we will return on the train to Ollantaytambo, where you will be spending the night. You can either enjoy the rest of the afternoon/evening relaxing by the hotel or you can take an Uber to visit the small town (15 minutes away) and explore some cool artisanal galleries, grab some delicious coffee or a pint of local beer.

Morning
The adventure begins very early at 7:00 when our guide passes by your private group to the hotel, starting the journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The trip will start in the town/fortress of Ollantaytambo to contemplate impressive constructions and agricultural terraces erected on the slopes of the mountains and get to know the last Living Inca People.
Then you discover the circular terraces of Moray, an archeological site that resemble a sunken amphitheater, and you will learn about the agricultural techniques used by the Incas.
Afternoon
At lunch time you will enjoy a delicious picnic in the middle of the Sacred Valley, where you will appreciate the extraordinary Andean landscape that runs through the Vilcanota river.
Next you will visit the Maras salt mines, one of the largest salt extraction centers of prehispanic origin, an impressive landscape filled with thousands of individual salt pools on a hillside.
