How It Works – 4 Month Programs — Remote Year

Why is Remote Year launching 4 month programs?

 We want to make this lifestyle and experience available to as many people as possible. We’ve been meeting potential Remotes and companies who want to take part, but can’t commit to a full year right off the bat.

Do I need to come for the whole four months?

Yes, we are looking for participants who are excited about the experience of working and traveling for all four months!

 
Are there any programming differences between 4 month and 12 month programs?

No, programming will reflect that of our 12 month programs.

Will there be breaks in the program to go on vacations or visit family?

You are free to come and go as you please and rejoin the group wherever they are at the time. 
 

What are the accommodations like?

You will be staying in either apartments and hotels, and always in your own private bedroom. 
 

Do I have to be from the United States?

No, Remote Year aims to have a diverse set of participants. We are represented by over 30 nationalities!
 

Do I have to speak English?

You do not need to be fluent in English to join the program, however, you must have basic English conversational skills in order to interact with your fellow remotes. 
 

Can I bring pets or children?

Remote Year is not currently set up to accommodate pets or children.
