What is the difference between an antigen test and a PCR Test and how long do each take to get the results?The CDC has detailed information on how each test works. You can find that info here

.  To put it in very simple terms:

  • Antigen Test:  Typically done with a swab inside 1 or both nostrils. Results typically take 24 hours, but results are more accurate than an antigen test. This is currently the gold-standard in testing.Some countries require a PCR test upon entries while others accept either test. The USA for example only requires an antigen test 72 hours before your flight arrival.
