Spending a month in Tirana, Albania was a wonderful experience. The RY staff was terrific. They chose nice apartments for us, we had a great workspace and the day and weekend trips were fun and interesting. Would definitely go on another Remote Year trip.

Yes it’s a big commitment, but every minute and every experience and every new friend is totally worth it. It’s a life-changing experience that I believe everyone should do in their lifetime. I felt completely supported the entire time, and I cannot imagine ever again traveling solo.

Struggling to find words to express how grateful I am for the past few months. I saw extraordinary places, met incredible people and learned more than I am able to say right now. My first @remoteyear experience came full circle with another sunset cruise last week, and now I am home, pondering life and how to continue to infuse wonder, curiosity and joy into every day moments.

Choosing to uproot my life and travel for 4 months with Remote Year has been the best decision I’ve made. My anxiety has mostly vanished. My heart is not stressed. And I am on the road to finding myself.

I loved waking up and going for a morning jog in the Jardim de Estrela. Sometimes I would grab a delicious traditional Pao de Deus from the padaria and walk to the workspace. The Sao Bento and Chiado neighborhoods are full of small local cafes with outdoor seating and parks where I could work from.
