Thanks to BikeAlameda, the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, and Alameda Hospital we are not charging any tuition for the May Day 1 Classes. Thanks to a generous IBM Community Grant obtained by BikeAlameda, a free helmet will be provided to each individual who completes the May Day 1 classes in Alameda while supplies last.

Family Cycling Workshops
Do you want to bike with your family on the streets but feel a bit uneasy? Join Safe Routes to Schools and East Bay Bicycle Coalition for an educational, on-the-bike morning for kids and parents. This workshop offers three hours of drills, games and a neighborhood ride. Learn games and techniques to teach and assess your bike handling skills. This training is for parents and kids and is ideal for kids who can bike over 1 mile between grades 2-5th grade.

Teen Bicycle Safety
Not comfortable with your teen riding on the street? They think they know all there is to riding a bike? Then they should not miss this class. This course will teach the tricks and methods of dealing with traffic and other road users. You'll be surprised at how much more peaceful (and safer) you and your teen will feel after you take this class. This class teaches, crash avoidance, confidence in traffic, rights and responsibilities, new techniques and night riding safety.Prerequisites: Bicycle is NOT needed for the course.
