We are currently looking for a person to maintain our web site .Here are some of our needs:
Recruit newsletter writers and photographers. Schedule and run the quarterly newsletter meeting, to schedule content. The coordinator will accept articles and send them to the editors. Work with the newsletter publisher on the final product. Ensure that the newsletter is printed and sent to members.
Work on a team to park bikes at local Alameda events. The valet bike parker will staff a table and bike corral, secure bikes, distribute literature, and monitor the bikes.
Active from March to October, we need many people to help us out for just a few hours in parking and attending bicycles at Alameda events as a Valet Bike Parker. It's fun: you get to meet people, you get to spend some time outdoors, and of course you get to talk about bicycles with many fellow Alamedans!
Job openings We have two paying positions. Valet bike parking coordinator and valet bike parking supervisor. Talk to us about these positions.
We're always working to make Alameda a better place to bicycle, and we need your help to make it happen. Brainstorm solutions with us, work with city staff, review proposals, and so forth. (As much time as you can spare;)
Make phone calls for bike lanes, bike racks and other bike things.Work on a team to prioritize our advocacy tasks and then work to get things done.
